Catch the waves of fun at the only water park in Bali. Waterbom Park and Spa is set in a tropical Balinese landscape and boasts 17 thrilling waterslides to choose from. Children under 5 years even have a special water playground! You can also relax with a cocktail in the pools or have a massage. There are various leisure activities on offer including volleyball, table tennis and Eurobungy. Waterbom Park also has a fantastic array of international cuisines and snacks. This tour gives an introduction to the countryside, life, arts and crafts of Bali. Stops will be made at three villages renowned for their craftmanship in silver, woodcarving and paintings. In Celuk, you will see skilled artisans creating silver jewellery and ornaments out of fine filigree strands. In Mas, you can watch fine carvers work on ebony, jackfruit and coconut wood. Famous Balinesestyle paintings can be found in their thousands at Ubud, where artists have congregated for over 50 years.
Begin with a 15 minute walk through terraced rice fields, cultivated in unique Balinese style. Continue to Mengwi Temple, Monkey Forest and Tanah Lot. Mengwi Taman Ayun Temple, dating from 1634, is a picturesque temple complex surrounded by a moat, with an elaborate stone entrance gate. Its well-kept grassy courtyard boasts numerous pavilions and multi-roofed shrines. Monkey Forest, a cluster of towering trees, is home to hundreds of monkeys that fearlessly go about their way in their temple haven, and hundreds of fruit bats. Your last stop is Tanah Lot, to watch the sunset beyond the black towers of this sacred 16th century Sunset Temple built 200 metres off shore. Tide conditions permitting, you can walk across the beach to the temple.
Drive through the rural landscape of Bali to the Ayung River at Begawan, an area near Ubud village. After a pre-departure briefing you push off for two hours of exhilarating river rafting through a deeply carved valley with towering waterfalls, enormous cliffs, shadowy river pools, and racing whitewater rapids. At the finishing point you will be greeted with a buffet lunch before returning to your hotel. Bring shorts or swimming costume, T-shirt, sports or river shoes (no heels) and a change of clothes. Changing rooms and shower facilities are available. NOTE: Afternoon departure will have a late lunch after your rafting adventure. The walk to and from the river is approximately 1km each way and is very steep with an estimated 250 steps. This tour is not recommended for elderly or for those who arent of reasonable fitness. Start with the stone carving village of Batubulan to see the colourful Barong dance. Through the Balinese countryside to Mas, see artisans carving intricate wooden sculptures. Next, visit the 11th century Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave). On arrival at Kintamani, enjoy spectacular views of Mount Batur and Lake Batur. A stop is made for lunch (not included) at Kintamani. On the way back, visit the Holy Springs and Ubud. Last stop is the village of Celuk, famous for gold and silver works
Drive through rural Bali for two hours to the starting point of your tour. After morning tea, overlooking Lake Batur and Mount Batur, set off through sleepy villages, rice paddies and shady plantations. Stops will be made at several local villages and temples to give an insight into traditional lifestyle. After the two and a half hour ride you will be taken for lunch before returning to your hotel.
